San Diego

I departed my hostel at 0730 to catch the bus downtown to the Greyhound station. My bus to San Diego was due to depart at 0900. I ended up running into the Greyhound station, complete with all my bags, at 0910:(

Gasping for breath I asked if the bus had left, I have never been so delighted that a bus was running late! The driver was just shutting the baggage locker and I managed to get on with seconds to spare!

So at lunchtime today I arrived in San Diego. It was a fair trek from the bus station to the hostel but once I had a cup of tea and some lunch I was ready to explore. I am staying in the Gaslamp Quarter, a trendy area full of great shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. I spent the afternoon browsing the shops and making a list of things I want to buy! This evening I have been on-line booking my buses as far as San Francisco and also booking a ticket to a baseball match on Sunday between the San Diego Padres and the Colorado Rockies!!

Well I think thats me up-to-date!
