Moved

Well, I have moved out of my house, 100 yards down the road into my Aunts house! I also helped my brother move into his new house (which is very nice and I am quite jealous!).

It was all very tiring and took twice as long as we had hoped.

I spent my first night in my new temporary accomodation last night, it was very strange. I am used to being home alone but not used to being surrounded by other peoples stuff.  Was also very tired and not in the mood to try and figure out the oven or any other electrical appliance so ended up with a bowl of pasta and went to bed early!

I am working today and tomorrow then off on annual leave for my 3 week holiday. Flying out on Monday morning to LA for 2 weeks and then to Honolulu for a week. I have a trip to Vegas and the Grand Canyon planned for the first week. I can’t wait!

Moving…

…is such a hassle, tomorrow is the big day and I can’t wait for it to be over.

I am extremely grateful to my aunt and uncle who have kindly allowed me to move into their spare room so I can save money for my trip, they have also allowed me to use their car while they are away so I am feeling very lucky at the mo.

Another huge thankyou goes to my little brother who has brought me some currency for my holiday, an unexpected suprise!

So all in all I should probably stop winging about moving and appreciate those around me who are helping me so much.

Oh yeah, am very tired, finished 4th night shift this morning and haven’t slept today, heres to wine, chinese takeaway and my bed (which is now a mattress on the floor as I sold my bed today!!!!).

…of a Mini Cooper Convertible:(

I handed the car over on Friday thinking I wouldn’t miss it but 2 days without my own transport has proved me wrong!!!

Sold the car!!!

Well today has been a success! Have just sold my Mini Cooper Convertible for the full asking price!! Am very pleased however slightly sad to see it go. But hey more money in the bank for my travels.

New Blog

Well today is the start of my very first and brand new Blog!

As many of you are already aware I have made the decision to take a career break and spend a few months travelling the world!!

This all started about 2 weeks ago after a glass or 2 of wine, when I booked a 3 week holiday to California and Hawaii, within minutes of booking I realised that it wasn’t quite enough. Within a couple of days I had applied for an 8 month career break (my money will only last so long!) and planned a trip around the world.

Today I have booked and paid for a round the world ticket so there’s no going back!

So the plan………

On October 1st I start my holiday in LA and Hawaii, lets call it a trial run!!

December 28th I depart the UK to Sydney arriving in time to celebrate New Year! After spending a couple of months in Oz and Tasmania I move on to New Zealand. I intend to spend at least a couple of months exploring both islands before moving onto Fiji for a month. Then I will fly to the USA, travel north to Canada, across Canada to Montreal to visit much missed ralatives before heading south to New York to celebrate my 30th (yes 30th!) birthday in New York.

So heres to a very exciting year ahead, hope I don’t bore you guys too much!!
